龙行龘龘，欣欣家国。为营造春节喜庆气氛，提升人民群众幸福感体验感，让传统节日成为凝聚文化共识、增强文化自信的重要载体，在江苏省文化和旅游厅“水韵江苏·欢欢喜喜过大年”主题系列活动框架下，江苏省美术馆在2024年甲辰龙年来临之际，举办“龙loong隆——江苏省美术馆甲辰迎春特展”，以“龙”为主题，呈现一场充满生机和创意的艺术盛宴。
The Year of the Dragon is approaching amid a prosperous atmosphere. In order to create a festive atmosphere for the Spring Festival, enhance the people’s well-being and make traditional festivals an important carrier to build cultural consensus and strengthen cultural confidence, the Jiangsu Art Museum will hold the Special Exhibition for Chinese Lunar New Year 2024 on the theme of “dragons” as the Year of the Dragon is approaching. As part of the “Charm of Jiangsu · Celebrate the New Year with Joy” activities launched by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, this exhibition is aimed at delivering an art feast filled with vitality and creativity.
“龙loong隆”不仅仅是一场艺术展，更是一次对龙年精神的独特解读。龙，作为中国传统文化中的吉祥象征，不仅寓意着力量和权力，更是代表着幸福、吉样和美好的未来。"龙”不再是遥远神秘的传说，而是以各种艺术形式表现，将其神韵与活力相融合。这不仅是对传统文化的传承， 也是对当代艺术的探索与演绎。艺术家们通过各种媒介，以创新的视角，轻松活泼的方式表达他们对龙年的祝愿和对未来的美好展望，展现了他们对"龙”的理解和想象，赋予了“龙”新的艺术生命。在这个展览中，观众将会看到来自不同领域的艺术作品，涵盖了版画、雕塑、插画等多种形式，传统与现代的碰撞，历史与未来的交融，每一件作品都散发着对新年的热烈祝福。
It is both an art exhibition and a creative attempt to interpret the spirit of the Year of the Dragon. Dragon, as an auspicious symbol in traditional Chinese culture, not only symbolizes strength and power, but also represents happiness, good fortune and a bright future. In this exhibition, instead of being a distant and mysterious legend, dragon is presented in various artistic forms that combine its charm and vitality. It highlights both inheritance of traditional culture and exploration of contemporary art. Artists will express their wishes for the Year of the Dragon and for the future in an innovative and lively manner by showcasing their understanding and imagination of “dragon” through various media, thus endowing this symbol with new artistic meanings. This exhibition will present art works from different fields, covering prints, sculptures, illustrations and other forms. These art works feature the collision of tradition and modernity and the blending of the past and the future. Each of them bears warm blessings for the new year.
